Perseid meteor shower/paddle surf....sound fun?

This is an activity that I wish I could do...but 1st I have to learn how to paddle surf. :( Not even sure if it's possible? Can you surf in the dark? You need to be away from the city lights...around 2 am...is the best time to view it. I hope someone experienced does this and tell me all about it! (Tip: if you can find a lake by a mountain, that's ideal).

Night paddleing is definatley possible. If your at the beach make sure to count your sets so you can get out past the break easier inbetween waves. Also make sure to wear a PDF and a leash. Have you EVER gone SUPing? What kind of water conditions are you dealing with?

You didn't mention if you actually have night paddled...or even tried this activity? (excuse me...but I'm new to the jargon and semantics...so I obviously make up my own phrases). And wooh, you also didn't read the prologue...otherwise you'd know that I won't be counting any sets soon inbetween the waves...because: a. have no idea what PDF or SUP stands for b. don't have a board yet c. I said (in my bio) I was one step below beginner
I think this site is mainly for people who are advanced students...for you-all to share pics and stories. Maybe everyone that's a SUP is an amphibian, but I actually do step off the water...and in the mountains the meteor shower is amazing, so I thought it be even more amazing watching from the water. I do hope you or someone who actually has a board, tries this and tells me all about the experience.

Oh my, I think I just sent a comment to myself instead of leaving a comment to you in your box...this, in addition to not having any experience...is what is going to get me 86'd out of SUP. Please go to my inbox, and read my comment, I am too embarressed to rewrite my comment. thanks.
