- i grew up in hawaii and have been surfing for 47 years. now i live in the desert and in need of more board time. yes i go to the coast and baja amongst other places to surf. so my new love is stand up paddling. The lakes are great and the looks are even better. I have been making the boards here in phoenix with the shaping help of trueline surfboards. we are having a lot of fun introducing this sport to the desert. i look forward to sharing stories with all the surfin braddas. chad
