North Carolina Trip

Looking for a little help with trying to plan a trip to NC for paddling. My wife and I have done lots of flat water and she has some surf experience, we hope to make a trip to NC in May to kick off the summer. We would like to camp close to the water and hopefully find a very chill spot. Does anyone have any recommendations on places to camp?Tips for good beginner places to sup/surf?Any tips for places to stay, eat, paddle would be greatly appreciated. Thanks SeftonSee More

Check this out... it works pretty good and leaves a hand free if it's windy... http://www.northshoreinc.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=61&idproduct=272

Adding a Handle

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with adding a small cutout for a handle on board? I have an oxbow standup board and it is too wide to handle under my arm and it would love to add a handle so I can stop carrying this over my head. Also my wife struggles a bit with the board over her head.I imagine I would just need to cut a small cutout and seal it up with epoxy and perhap a little fiberglass? Any suggestions?ThanksSee More

I have only paddled on the Lamoille river, nothing too exciting, slow water. I live on Champlain and have spent the majority of my time paddling the flat water. I bet the Hartland Rapids would be sick. Which inflatable board to you run? What is…

Not sure where everyone is located. SUPing is slowly getting a start up here in VT. Lake Champlain and the rivers around here are awesome for some flat water paddling.
