The Oregon Open Ocean for 2011 is a stand up and prone paddleboard event with two races over the weekend of August 26-28th in Newport, Oregon. A skippers meeting will be held Friday night, so plan your travel appropriately. Race days could be swapped based on weather conditions. The Oregon Open Ocean Classic is an 7.5 mile, North to South SUP / paddleboard race along the Oregon coast from Beverly Beach State Park to Nye Beach in Newport. It will take participants around the beautiful Yaquina Head lighthouse while riding downwind on the ocean swells.Primary Date is August 28th. Weather backup date is August 29th.Registration is available in person on the 27th at the Rogue Brewery between 4-7pm, prior to skippers meeting and racer dinner.See More
