When I am not kiteboarding and the winds are low.....Paddleboarding is the perfect way to go....Love the paddleboarding and want to embark on a bunch of downwinder paddles all over the world with the inflatable paddleboards!
Welcome aboard Kimmy. I am the only Bellingham SUP'r, but would love to paddle with more people. If you are in town, let me know, there is a 6 mile down wind run along Chuckanut Drive that is great when the wind is out of the south.
You have an ULI also! It's been a handful compared to a rigid board for me, but has helped me with my balance immensely. Lookforward tohearing more about you experiences with the ULI.
How is paddleboarding in Canada? Is it popular? Cheers, Barry

not super popular yet, but everyone loves the board when they see it.....so shouldnt take long, my goal is to do some longdownwinders and river runs...
Hi!
All the events in and around Bellingham are kayak/OC races. But they almost always allow me to compete on my SUP. I am almost always the only SUP'r.
There is a race Oct 25th out of Renton, WA. The short course is 5 or 6 miles on Lake Washington. Would be a long drive for you though. Not many races after that until early spring.
Hey Kimmy. Steve and Barrie are still around and going strong. They just had a grand opening party at their new factory / glass shop in San Clemente. They are doing a lot of SUP business, from performance surfing to racing boards. Drop me an e-mail via the contact info on my website when you're coming to town. BC looks amazing - check out Luke Hopkins' SUP river paddling gallery on www.localpaddler.com - Chris
Where is Sqamish? Is it on Vancouver Island? I want to windsurf and SUP British Columbia this spring. I would like to stay for a week. Where should I go? How about camping spots? Any help would be great!
Cheers,
Craig
