Epoxy repair?

My fin box on my Ron House was damaged while surfing Its sticking halfway out. I'm pretty sure I can force it back into its original position but the area around it will definitely need to be repaired/reinforced. I'm just wondering if its any different than fiberglass cause I've done that many times. I may just have to take it to Roper if its too dificult. Has anyone done any epoxy repair?
