SUP race on Barnegat Bay (Brant Beach, NJ) Sept 13
Hi,
My organization is having a SUP "fun race" on Long Beach Island (Brandt Beach, NJ). The event date is Sunday, 9/13. We'll also have a limited enrollment Sea Kayak clinic. If you could please pass the word that would be wonderful!
SUP "fun race" will have both men's and women's divisions, simple awards. The day will also feature SUP Clinic and kayak fun race (as well as windsurfing fun race). Lunch is included. We are a not-for-profit organization and doing this because we want to support non-motorized water craft in New Jersey.
Registration is $25

Hey No problem will do.
Might be in NJ for that weekend and the will def be coming down. If its raining up north for rock climbing we'll bring a crew down. Try to get it on the Surfrider jersey chapter site and facebook site too.

thanks for replying Brian - sometimes you post things and wonder if they just go into a 'no-where bin' - nice to know that someone is actually tracking :)
If you come down, touch base - if not, have a safe climbing outting - and thanks for the tip about Surfrider - will definitely follow up!

Hi, Did you or will you have this again for 2010? I know this was posted LAST YEAR, but I just recently got addicted to SUPing :) I work on LBI & haven't seen any recent SUP events in The SandPaper. Island Surf & Sail has held the Ladies' Paddle Challenge the last couple years, but I think it was in the summer.
Also, know anyone with an inflatable? I'm having a heck of a time getting to 10-12psi!

ja ja - we had it in July - wonderful day - and will probably have it again next year. I am part of the NJWWA, you can check out the website and join as a member - most members are windsurfers but allot also have SUPs. Here is the website: windsurfnj.org
