Anyone travel with their stand-up boards? I know a lot of airlines have restrictions on length. Looking to do an SUP trip next year. ANy SUP friendly airlines outh there?
I haven't tried it yet but was curious with the same questions.
I was hoping to go to Eleuthera, Bahamas this year and would love to SUP. No rentals there and I'm sure it'd be tough to get a SUP on the commuter. I may change my plans and go to Puerto Rico where I know you can rent SUPs.
Out of Australia the best way is to air freight boards over 7 foot.. Especially to Bali and Fiji .... they may even travel on the same flight .. This May work in other places as well just call your friendly freight company ..
When Traveling on some airlines (British Airways) they wont take anything related to surfing ( including paddles) But They will take fishing equipment ... so .. I take a lot of "fishing paddles" with me ... Its an insurance thing I guess ? Pity the Bisect ( trisect ) boards are so "lumpy" !
