Looking for a good paddle trip in Elkhorn Slough... Hoping you can help out with some launch points and potentially good routes. hour to two hour paddle would be great.
my name is Lucho Banto, my family and I just moved from Maui to Seal Beach, I used to be a professional windsurfer out from Chile and lived in Maui the last 14 years. I'm a waterman, love kitesurfing, surfing, towing, sailing and now SUP.
I'm doing one on one lessons to try to help people getting started and help them get some great Hawaiian SUP boards:
Stand Up Paddle Surfing is safe, fun and easy. It is a great way to get a full body workout outside on the water. The sport is growing rapidly and this summer you will see Stand Up Paddlers paddling around bays, lakes, rivers and of course catching some waves on the ocean. Unlike traditional surfing it takes no time to learn the sport. If you are looking for a way to stay in shape, be on the water and have fun at it, SUP is the sport for you.
Private One on One Lesson 1: 1hr30min Flat Water Stand Up Paddling: you will learn the basics of Stand Up Paddling. Proper stroke technique, stance, turning and self rescue. We will padlle for about one hour around Alamitos bay and the Napples Peninsula. _$100.- Board and paddle provided not wetsuit needed.
Stand up and demo!
This sport is so new to so many people it is great to experiment with different equipment. Salty Steve at Kites Etc. here in Sunset (off PCH) is manufacturing
and selling direct with all sizes/shapes of boards as well as different paddles
and equipment. He rents and does lessons off of his back dock in the harbor.
Great to get the basics wired and get equipment dialed before kooking out in open water. Super easy to deal with and the best deals on boards and paddles on the coast. Many of us go out here daily and we are already forming small groups to paddle together and have fun! Dig in!------

Sounds like a good setup down there. I'll stop by next time I'm in town. Feel free to invite your buddies to join the community here at ipaddlesurf.com so we can organize more demo days, etc.
