Central Cal SUP Campout 2008

FINAL UPDATE: I hope everyone is getting fired up, I know I am! The campout is coming up and I think we are going to get some great weather and maybe even some waves. The unofficial report is that Plaskett Creek is picking up some good swells this summer. I know I'll be taking it easy, as I broke two ribs this summer and I'm just getting back in the water. So if you just want to cruise with me, or if you want to tackle some Big Sur waves, there should be something for everyone. Also, I'm bringing my bluegrass mandolin and I heard a few guitars are coming down... so be ready for some music, too! See you there. -Mash

UPDATE: The Group Site isn't available so we have to reserve individual sites. I already reserved site #42 for my trailer and I have room for an extra tent and 2 people. Each site can have 2 cars and 6-8 people. Sites are only $22/night.

The date is set for the weekend of September 12-14 at Plaskett Creek just south of Big Sur. That means we'll stay Friday night and Saturday night. If you plan on coming either reserve one of the campsites listed above, or form a group of 8 people and share one.

I will be arriving on Thursday Sept 11 and I have site # 29. There will be only 2 of us in a trailer, so there will be room for someone to pitch a tent if someone wants to share the site.

To change your RSVP status just click the link above that says "Change RSVP" and select Attending. Even better, click the link to reserve a campsite at Plaskett Creek and put together a carpool. Each site holds up to 8 people and two cars.

I've got only one possible conflict. If I can clear that I'm in, probably with full family contingent (surfy wife + 2 micro groms).

Very Cool! I will attend even though I once tried for 45 minutes to paddle out at the beach at Plasket Creek (never made it).
